About Us

The verdant heart of Puget Sound, rural Vashon Island is our home.  This site has been farmed continuously for over 100 years.  Since 1997 we have been growing in this idyllic setting, where we lovingly tend our 98 raised beds, hoophouses, greenhouse, and orchard.

Starting out as the first biodynamic CSA farm on Vashon, GreenMan Farm has branched out to become one of the anchors of the Vashon Farmer’s market.  On Saturdays during the Market season, you can find us at the Village Green in downtown Vashon, offering a scrumptious selection of seasonal veggies, fruits, and farm-fresh treats. And of course, our farmstand is open all season long.

Farmer Jasper is a lifelong veggie grower, raised up amid bounteous vegetable gardens, fruit trees, chickens and rabbits.  Her formal education includes degrees in Environmental Horticulture and Business Administration, and she is a frequent speaker and contributor to local publications on the subject of sustainable agriculture.

Jasper and Will were married here on Vashon in 2005.  Since then, Will has exuberantly taken to the deeply satisfying pleasure of the simple farm life.  He has become a passionate advocate for sustainability as well, and an invaluable partner on the farm.

Celebrating 25 years feeding our friends and neighbors on Vashon Island!
